Statement of Faith
Introduction
As Christians we are defined by Jesus; his teaching, his work for us on the cross, and the promise of his glorious return to make all things new.

As a new church this core belief shapes our posture before God and the world.
Before God: We want to see everyone depend, enjoy and rest in a living relationship with God the Father, as they joyful submit to God the Son, by the power of God the Holy Spirit. Our priority then is to prayerfully speak & share the gospel with as many people as possible, fully expecting God to work.
Before the world: As those who have seen their need for Jesus, we are therefore humble, non-judgemental and self-critical, while also confident, uncompromising and bold. It's about him, not about ourselves. Convinced that a new church is needed in the area, not as a criticism nor in competition with other gospel centered churches, we want to work for the good of other churches and communities as we seek to reach new people.

For historical and wider explanations of these you can read The Apostles, Nicene & Athanasian Creeds, The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion & The Jerusalem Statement and Declaration.
